David Steinberg, Chairman

AvatarBefore Quire, David worked in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs and at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He was a Commonwealth Scholar at Cambridge, where he received an MPhil in Economic Development.

David graduated with Honors from Yale with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics and Economics. While at Yale, he founded Yale AIDS Watch and the Yale Journal of Public Health. He was also the publisher of the Yale Herald.

When not traveling between Palo Alto and Seattle, David can be found skiing in Colorado and spending time with his family.

Michael Dawson, CEO

AvatarMichael joins Quire from the corporate development team at Digicel USA, a mobile technology start-up. Previously, he was a consultant in New York at Katzenbach Partners, a strategy and organizational consulting firm started by 3 McKinsey partners in 1998. He also worked with a storage technology start-up in San Jose, a Denver-based venture capital firm in the DFJ network, and at an education-focused non-profit in New York.

Michael graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Yale University with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, & Economics. While at Yale, he was CFO of the Yale Entrepreneurial Society and Captain of the Yale Polo Team.

Michael continuously explores the best new restaurants in New York and on the West Coast together with his fiancée, and finds inventive ways to pursue his passions – skiing and polo.

Marise Phillips, VP of Product Design

AvatarMarise integrates a mix of pragmatic, user centered design methodologies to help increase profitability and customer loyalty. Most recently she was Creative Director at EVault (a Seagate Company) and before that held senior product and interface design roles at Walmart.com, VERITAS Software, and Autodesk over her 14 year career. She also managed a 10 week redesign of Blurb.com's bookstore, profile and checkout processes optimized for Ruby on Rails.

An avid gardener, Marise lives on a small island in the San Francisco Bay with her family and a menagerie of cats, fish, hamsters, and video game consoles. She is also active in the Bay Area’s non-profit community as a program consultant with Junior Achievement.

Sameer Tiwari, VP of Engineering

AvatarSameer brings 17 years of engineering leadership experience working on a variety of technologies and companies. Before joining MyQuire he led engineering teams for archiving/retrieval solution at Zantaz (acquired by Autonomy) and phonebook management solution in the mobile space for Coremobility. He was also the founder and CTO of a wireless security company, BlueLeaf Inc and holds patent in that arena. Before that he led the Development Engineering group of the SunONE Application Server at Sun Microsystems.

In the initial years of his career he held multiple development and engineering roles at various companies including HP, Creative Wonders, Roche Bioscience and Unisys. Sameer holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Graduate degree in Electronics.

He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, flying and researching alternative sources of energy.
